The Story of
Maggie Moore Studio
Becky and Sam are creative cousins.
Both have their grandmother, Margaret "Maggie" Moore, to thank.
Maggie, as she was affectionately called by their grandfather, was an artist who bought her granddaughters their first Learn to Draw sets, took them to art supply shops for the best kind of shopping sprees and spent many late nights with them, up until the wee hours watching David Letterman, drinking tea and doodling.
It's no surprise both Becky and Sam, inspired by their grandmother, went
to design school and later teamed up in honor of their G-mom to start their dream, a design and lettering studio.
Tossing around names for their new venture, they were on a walk in their neighborhood and toying with the idea of naming it after their grandmother.
Hit with a sudden craving for iced coffee, they stopped in a local coffee shop and Becky gave her name for the order. A few minutes later the barista placed their coffees at the pick up counter and called "Maggie". Becky and Sam took it as a sign from G-mom that she liked the idea too, and "Maggie Moore" Studio was born!
