Flashback to Maggie Moore Studio making our WJZ TV Debut!

We're thinking back to last summer when we appeared on Where's Marty on local WJZ TV here in Baltimore. Yes that Marty Bass! The one you grew up with was live in our living room. How did all this happen you ask?

We received an email from a WJZ producer. He said, Marty actually just got one of your cards for Father’s Day and loved it so much he said we need to reach out to do a segment with you! I texted Sam and said "Is this for real?!"  Seeing as the segment was called Where's Marty?, we knew Marty had to go somewhere. And our first thought was where? We run Maggie Moore Studio out of my house with all our inventory in my small office. I couldn't see a live TV segment being broadcast from this very tiny room! But Marty said no problem. While the thought of being on live TV was slightly terrifying, we knew we had no choice but to say yes to the surprise opportunity!

Marty arrived with his cameraman, K2 first thing and they put us right at ease.  How bad could it be?  They do it every day. Marty was sitting on my couch chatting with us like we were old friends.   We even had a Smalltimore moment  when we told him Sam's Mom used to work with his wife!  We  chatted with Marty about our cards, prints and stickers and he told us the card he received for Father's Day was our Justin Tucker Card.  Proving our point that a card doesn't have to say Happy Father's Day to be the perfect card for Dad. We loved that!

Our segment was a bit late because of breaking news, a heatwave in Baltimore in July!  But, before we knew it we were live! Marty made it pretty easy and we had fun with it and we're here to tell you we survived. We showed off some of our favorite Maggie Moore goodies and then did a segment from  that very tiny office too, to show a couple of cousins can run a small business with big dreams from a small space.  Watch us on Where's Marty? and let us know what you think!
